The annual Food and Wine Classic is the kickoff to summer here in Aspen. Start the weekend off with the Food and Wine Classic 5k Charity Race on Friday, June 16th at 7:00 am. Starting June 17 organic Colorado produce, handmade crafts, prepared food, and live music will be featured in the streets of Aspen every Saturday morning for the Aspen Farmer’s Market. Farmer’s Market Saturdays are a favorite among locals of all ages. It is weekly event that brings the community together and showcases some of our great local farms. For more information click here.
Following the Food and Wine Classic is the Aspen Ideas Festival. The Ideas Festival is known for being one of the world’s top gatherings for world leaders and influencers. This 10 day festival explores, analyzes, and challenges our culture and society. The Aspen Music Festival and School continues the list of summer events from June into July. Starting June 29th, recitals will take place throughout town until August 20th. Be sure to check out the Benedict Music Tent- a seasonal concert hall featuring the Aspen Music School’s best musicians. Each performance features a different style of classical music.
